Little Suri lost: Miss Cruise left in tears as she nearly takes off without her comforter

She might be a style icon for many but at the end of the day Suri Cruise is still a little girl.



And while her wardrobe might be packed full of fashionable clothes there is one accessory that the she can’t be without – her blanket.



Suri, five, was left devastated when her favourite comforter was absent from the helicopter she and Katie Holmes were travelling in.

She was seen clutching several toys and followed by her mom the little girl clenched her eyes shut and became very tense as she headed towards the already whirring chopper.



Once on board, Suri let rip a barrage of tears, sobbing as she stared out the window.

The little girl could not be consoled and was left with tears streaming down her face as she and her mother waited for the private aircraft to fly off.



But luckily just before take-off a member of staff managed to find her blanket and get it to the little girl in the nick of time.



Little Suri’s mood changed and she was seen waving gratefully to the man who had helped her.

Katie, 32, seemed kept her cool as she sat on the seat next to Suri and just let her calm herself down.



The Dawson's Creek star has been hard at work in New York promoting her new movie Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark.



Her husband, Tom Cruise has been splitting his time between LA, Miami and New York as he works on his own movie Rock Of Ages.

Nearly a hat trick! Five-year-old fashionista Suri Cruise changes her hats and dresses TWICE in one day

She is one of then most fashionable five-year-olds in the world.



So it was hardly a surprise then, that little Suri Cruise changed her outfit twice in one day as she stepped out in New York in two different hats and dresses.



The mini fashionista teamed a black hat with a pink faux fur coat, purple dress and matching shoes as she left her apartment yesterday.

The trendy youngster was nearly clad from top to toe in designer outfits, with the hat designed by Armani, the dress from DKNY Kids and matching Venettini moccasins.



However, the pink furry coat was from high street store H & M.



Suri clutched her nanny's hand while holding on to her favourite American Girl doll.

But later, it seems clothes loving Suri got a bit bored with her outfit.



She changed into a bright pink hat with flower design, a blue tiered ruffle dress from Gap Kids, a pink hat, gold mini heels and a purple clutch.

She has previously discussed her daughter's love of fashion, claiming she has already displayed excellent sartorial taste.

Suri's extensive wardrobe is thought to be worth in the region of $2 million.

'Sometimes I take inspirations from Suri's fashion choices,' Katie added to the magazine. 'I know I look good when Suri asks me if she can have my outfit when she's older.'

The 32-year-old actress has been a busy bee while promoting her new film, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.



But she got to spend some quality time with husband Tom Cruise and daughter Suri today as they left New York City today.

She certainly hasn't been bored while mum has been hitting the talk show circuit, though.

She looked simple and chic in a white T-shirt and black jeans and a 'S' necklace, presumably meant for daughter Suri.

While on the New York-based show, she and Fallon play an intense game of Pictionary.

They also discuss her latest project, the Guillermo Del Toro-directed horror film Don't Be Afraid of The Dark.

'They make you feel special when you put them on in the morning,' she said, adding, 'I love the hot pink ones, that makes my day!'



It's always the quiet ones who have a hidden sexy side, isn't it?

She may be old enough to go to school, but it seems Suri Cruise is still very much the baby of her family.



The 5-year-old was coddled and cosseted by her famous parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes as they touched down in New York this morning.



Her father had her wrapped up in a pink security blanket and carried her in his arms after they arrived via helicopter.

Her mother was left holding yet more baby blankets and handful of toys.



She was later spotted carrying her daughter into their hotel.



Katie, 32, was wearing the same clothes - including a pair of leopard print trousers - from the night before after jetting straight out of LA on Sunday night.



The couple were seen leaving the Nokia Centre hand-in-hand after watching the Firework singer perform on her California Dreams tour.

They co-ordinated their footwear for the occasion, both stepping out in suede boots.



Of course, Perry is the wife of 49-year-old Tom's Rock of Ages co-star Russell Brand.

'Even when I was a little girl, I loved my "days of the week" pairs.



'I love the hot-pink ones, that makes my day!'

Katie gave her daughter a lift as they paid a visit to Worldtone Dance in Los Angeles to buy dancing shoes.

Mother and daughter looked happy and relaxed as they strolled through the parking lot, with Suri clutching her favourite doll.

However, the 32-year-old actress has admitted in the past that she pays attention to her daughter's fashion taste.

'She’ll say, "You’ve got to wear these shoes." Or "That’s so pretty, Mom. Wear that." She’s got a great eye.'
